<p>The machine comprises a turbine driven from the tractor take-off point which picks nuts off the ground by suction through a flexible pipe. This latter has a nozzle which can be moved by hand over an area. Leaves are removed through the turbine and the nuts fall into a hopper. They are discharged from the hopper by a paddle wheel, into a drum; this is inclined and the nuts are sorted into two sizes. Smaller nuts fall through the drum perforations and larger nuts emerge at the rear of the drum.</p> |
