Strip of thin metal, e.g. steel having two parallel edges extending lengthways, has on one face a series of "V"-section grooves, less in depth than the thickness of the metal. These grooves are parallel to each other and are at right angles to the edges of the strip. The sides of the grooves subtend to each other an angle of at least 90 degs. Other face of the strip is covered with a layer of plastic material of uniform thickness such as a polyamide of the type "RILSAN" (RTM) which is deposited by pulverising. Ratio between the thickness of the strip and that of the plastic coating is at least 2 and is pref. 4. Prod. forms a skirting board which is very simple and cheap to fit, tooling being unnecessary. |
