PURPOSE:To reduce ion-burning of fluorescent film and obtain good quality images by a method in which a fluorescent film is made up of the first and second fluorescent layers, the resistance to ion-burning of the second layer is made higher than the first layer, and the second layer is provided near an electron gun. CONSTITUTION:On the target 5, the first fluorescent layer 11 selected on the same standard as in the conventional method is provided, and then on the first layer, the second fluorescent layer 12, having the same chromaticity and afterglow characteristics as the fluorescent substance composing the first layer and a higher resistance to ion-burning than the first layer 11, is provided. Thus, the ion-burning of the fluorescent film can be prevented or reduced and therefore good quality images can be obtained. |
