PURPOSE:To accomplish easy and accurate adjustment of unbalanced magnetic flux due to secular distortion of the detector shield and the like by detecting the metal piece mixed in the material being carried through the receiving coil with the balancing of the magnetic field of the exciting coil by 1-turn coil. CONSTITUTION:With any metal piece 8 is mixed in the article 7... being carried on the belt 1, a part of the magnetic flux balanced with the exciting coil 3 passes through the receiving coil 2 vertically mounted. Thus, the metal piece can be detected. The 1-turn coil 3 is provided at the center of the coil 3, connected to the resistance 5, the variable resistance 6 and the like and any change in the flux balance of the coil 3 due to secular distortion of the detector shield 9 and the like can be adjusted easily and accurately thereby ensuring accurate detection of the metal piece. |
