PURPOSE:To smoothly increase a speed in a turbine by providing a control means which closes a bypass valve, controlling a bypass line to be opened and closed, for the preset time in a transfer from an engine brake to an engine drive by the turbine when a rack moving amount exceeds a preset value. CONSTITUTION:In a transfer of an engine from its brake condition by reversing a turbine 4 to a normal operation condition of the engine, when a moving amount of a rack in a governor exceeds a preset value corresponding to a large change of an engine load, the engine 2 is decided to be correspondingly acceleration controlled, thereafter unless a turbine brake is again applied, a bypass valve 16 is controlled to be forcedly closed for the preset time. Thus ensuring a pressure increase properly in an exhaust passage 3 supplying exhaust to the turbine 4, an output is smoothly increased for an instantaneous acceleration control of the engine 2. |
