The air-driven motor comprises a liq-filled housing (6) contg. a rotor (1) which has a number of air chambers (3) arranged on its periphery. It is rotated by air admitted into the housing via lower ports (10,20). The housing closely surrounds the rotor. The rotor dia. may be more than twice, pref. more than five times the axial width of the rotor. Air entry ports in the housing may be arranged at the lowest point and/or near the rising part of the rotor. Control valves may be provided in front of the ports.
