The clip (1) for securing the folded edges of upholstery material for car seats, is made from a resilient strip with a double bend. The upper bend (7) is rounded, and formed by two arms (3) which clamp tightly together to grip a single thin layer between them. The second bend underneath, at the opposite end, is larger, to hold several layers. The uppermost arm terminates in a curved tip (6), and incorporates a lug (8) near the centre, which locks into a locating hole (10) in the arm (4) below. The layer of rigid material gripped between these two arms also incorporates a hole so that it will be located by the lug.
