PURPOSE:To improve the pressure fixing characteristic of an encapsuled toner and to form a distinct picture image by constructing external periphery of a core material of the encapsuled toner with fine particles of black polymer which are not substantially dissolved by a solvent at the boiling point. CONSTITUTION:A core material of a black encapsuled toner is formed from a material comprising a mixture 1 of a fixing resin and a solvent contg. a high boiling point solvent and the fixing resin dissolved or dispersed in said solvent, and a shell material 4 is formed around said core material by the interfacial polymn. and/or in-situ polymn. process. The external periphery of the core material of this encapsuled toner is constituted of fine particles 2 of black polymer which are not substantially dissolved by the high boiling solvent. Further, the fine particles 2 of the black polymer comprise particles contg. a black colorant 3. Thus, the pressure fixing characteristic of the encapsuled toner is improved and a distinct picture image is formed. |
