PURPOSE: To arrange accessories and wiring conveniently by forming the stator winding as a single layer coil comprising two independent coil windings thereby ensuring a sufficient space above the stator. CONSTITUTION: Flux of a rotor is detected by Hall elements 76, 77 and the current rotor position is detected. Positional signals are then delivered to transistors 82 through 85, i.e., four pulses are delivered when the rotor turns by 360 deg. electrical angle. Two pulses are delivered to a group of coils 57, 120 being controlled by the Hall element 76 and two other pulses are delivered to a group of coils 58, 121 being controlled by the Hall element 77. When a current pulse is delivered to one coil winding S1 connecting the coils 57, 120 in series, these two coils generate flux oppositely and a smooth rotation is obtained. After turning by 90 deg. electrical angle, one S3 of the coils 58, 121 is excited followed by sequential excitation of the coils S2 , S4 thus producing rotating power. |
