摘要 <p>The system for measuring the force of delivery in a pneumatic delivery system in which bulk material is fed into a gas flow in a tube enables accurate results to be obtained without expensive instrumentation. They are particularly applicable to powdered and finely granulated material. The throughput of gas in the unloaded condition prior to injection of material is measured. The pressure drop in the load gas is also measured for a given section of tube. Values characteristic of the delivery force are derived from the measured values, stored, and compared with subsequently measured values in a computer. The computer performs interpolation between a small number of characteristic points to determine the force from measured values. The calculated force is then used to regulate material and/or gas throughput.</p>
