<p>A high-speed press with a first piston in a cylinder which can be reciprocated relative to a second stationary piston in a bore of the rear of the first piston was described in tbe Parent Patent No. 2741242. The hydraulic medium is introduced tbrough two bores in the second piston which terminate one at each side of its piston head. The first piston has on its rear end, which protrudes outside the cylinder, a male thread with a nut which acts as a stop to limit its stroke. A gear rim on the outside of the nut engages a pinion, pref. made of cast polyamide, by which it can be adjusted. This results in a shorter axial dimension and in simpler mfr. at lower cost.</p> |
