PURPOSE:To provide a document transport apparatus having a document reversing mechanism which is small-sized, light and excellent in operability by providing a reversing portion on the upper portion of a transport portion. CONSTITUTION:A frame 11 holding a paper feed unit 10 is fixed to a copying apparatus main body 1 by a vis and covered with a cover member 12. A transport unit (transport portion) 20 having a transport belt 21 which can be rotated in the normal direction and in the reverse direction on the upper surface of a document table glass 2 and a discharged paper reversing unit (reversing portion) 40 are stored and held in a housing 22, and the housing 22 is supported at the frame 11 by a hinge to be opened counter-clockwise by a handle 22A. The drawing shows the condition where the transport unit 20 and the discharged paper reversing unit 40 are pushed down to the right and the document transport belt 21 presses the document table glass 2 disposed on the upper portion of the copying apparatus main body 1. As the discharged paper reversing unit 40 and a discharged paper tray (discharged paper portion) 80 are installed on the upper portion of the transport unit 20 above the document table glass 2, especially private installation plane area is not needed to be formed in a small size and excellent in operability. |
