PURPOSE:To largely obliquely orient liquid crystal molecules by consisting the title treating agent of a polyimide resin consisting of diamine, tetracarboxylic dianhydride and specific dicarboxylic anhydride. CONSTITUTION:This orientation treatment agent consists of the polyimide resin obtd. from the diamine, the tetracarboxylic dianhydride and the dicarboxylic anhydride expressed by formula I. In formula, R1 denotes an alkyl group of 6-20C; R2 denotes an aliphat. group in which the two carbonyl groups constituting the dicarboxylic anhydride are bonded to two carbons different from each other and the deriv. thereof or an arom. group and the deriv. thereof. The liquid crystal molecules are thereby largely obliquely oriented. |
