PURPOSE:To easily and smoothly change-over the drive of a supercharger to stoppage and opening/closing of a bypass passage by supplying the supercharged pressure of a turbocharger to a supercharger and the bypass passage and changing-over the drive of the supercharger to stoppage and opening/closing of the bypass passage according to the operating state of an engine. CONSTITUTION:A turbocharger 3 is drive by the exhaust gas energy, the supercharged pressure is cooled by an intercooler 4 and after it is restricted by a throttle valve 5 and is supplied to a supercharger 8 and a bypass passage 17. At this time, at the low speed area of the engine, a low supercharged pressure is utilized and a control valve 18 is closed by an actuator 19 to shut off a bypass passage 17. Based on the closing valve signal of a control valve 18 by an opening sensor 21, a clutch 23 is engaged by a control unit 22. Meantime, at the middle and high speed area of the engine, a high supercharged pressure is utilized to open the control valve 18. And the supercharger 8 is stopped and only the turbocharger 3 is driven. |
