<p>A control system for an electric car (6,6') driven by an induction motor (4) which is supplied with electric power of a variable frequency (fM) and a variable voltage (VM) from an inverter (3) comprises means (7) for detecting the car speed, means (9, 10) for setting a slip frequency (fs) of the motor, a frequency command (fM) generator, control means (8, 9, 10, 11) for controlling the output frequency of the power converter (3) in accordance with the frequency command and controlling the output voltage of the power converter, a current command (IR) generator, and a voltage command (VR) generator. The output voltage of the power converter (3) is controlled in accordance with selected one of the current command (IR) and the voltage command (VR) while being limited by the other command.</p> |
