<p>Novel compounds are described which are substituted benzophenone hydrazones. They have pesticidal activity, especially against insects and acarids, and pesticidal compositions and methods are described. Methods of making the compounds, and novel intermediates, are also described. The compounds have the general formula where X may be perflouroalkyl, perfluoroalkoxy or perfluoroalkylthio of up to 4 carbon atoms; and Y may be hydrogen, halogen alkyl, alkoxy, alkylthio, perfluoroalkyl, perfluoroalkoxy or perfluorcalkylthio of up to 4 carbon atoms.</p> |
