FABRIC DECORATION TRANSFERS AND INKS THEREFOR

Decoration materials, e.g. for decorating fabrics, are made of removable design layer on a flexible substrate. The layer comprises a base of thermoplastic film-forming polymeric material, a pigment, a cross-linking agent capable of cross-linking the thermoplastic polymer, a thermally activated catalyst promoting the cross-linking reaction, and a high temperature plasticiser. If the layer is formulated correctly, transfer and fixing of a preprinted design on fabric may be effected by passing the fabric an decoration material between heated calender rolls.
