PURPOSE:To eliminate impulsive noise of a reference value or more to improve S/N for communication of a large input signal level fluctuation, by detecting the average level of input signals and by using the output as the comparison reference value. CONSTITUTION:The signal input to input terminal IN is distributed to detecting circuit 5, comparator 2, and switch circuit 3 by signal distributor 1, and the input signal is detected by detecting circuit 5 to generate a DC voltage proportional to the signal level. This DC voltage is applied to comparator 2 as a reference voltage and is compared with the signal from distributor 1 to detect impulsive noise of the reference value or more included in the input signal, and this detected noise of an average level or more is applied to switch circuit 3 to control it, and thus, impulsive noise of the reference value or more included in the signal output to output end OUT is eliminated. Then, automatic gain control amplifier 6 is used for the detecting circuit, and the output of amplifier 6 and the output of reference voltage circuit 4 are compared with each other by comparator 2, and switch circuit 3 is controlled by the comparison result thereby eliminating impulsive noise. |
