Okerblom-4 BUTTERFLY VALVE HAVING HIGH PERFORMANCE DISC A butterfly valve is provided with a high performance disc having a wedge-shaped leading half formed by a pair of flat surfaces converging towards a leading edge from a portion of maximum disc thickness positioned forward of the disc axis. The trailing half of the disc also has a pair of flat surfaces diverging from a portion of the disc adjacent the axis, thereby forming a wedge projecting into the leading half.</p> |
