The invention relates to the problem of eliminating the transfer of the combine weight onto a conveyor through a chain instead of through a rail, in the combines which are advanced by means of a link chain meshing with a rack fixed alongside of the conveyor. To this end the slide skid forcing the chain to mesh with the rack is provided with a slide shoe. me slide shoe encloses a rail situated in the gates of the conveyor close to the rack. The slide shoe is mounted on a crank axle. The crank axle has one stub shaft fit into a bore in the slide skid, and carrying a coaxial splined tip fitting mating hole in the skid. m e slide shoe is mounted on another stub shaft of the crank axle, eccentric to the first and is protected against slipping off the shaft.
