PURPOSE:To enable quick and cheap manufacturing without a metal mold, by completely sealing up the inside surface, bottom and peripheral surface of a coil and impregnating an insulating resin through the top of the coil. CONSTITUTION:An insulator and a conductor are wound around a core 3 to prepare a coil 1. An outside seal-up layer 2 is provided on the peripheral surface of the coil. High-viscosity insulating resin or putty is coated on the bottom of the coil 1 to provide a bottom seal-up layer 4. The coil is then placed on an end face seal- up jig 5. Insulating resin of low viscosity is impregnated into the coil through its top under high-degree vacuum in a tank. The impregnated resin is set by a heating furnace. Since no metal mold is used, the molded coil is efficiently and cheaply manufactured. |
