An improvement in the discharge capacity of pressed nickel electrodes which comprise a NiOx/Co/binder admixture pressed into a current collector is obtained by heating the NiOx to a temperature on the order of 125 DEG C. to 175 DEG C. either before or after incorporating the NiOx in the electrode. |
