PURPOSE:To maintain the continuity of pictures by storing images of different types in an image memory and a display-priority memory respectively and displaying the contents of other images stored in the display-priority memory during the transfer of each picture to the image memory. CONSTITUTION:In a step S1 a synthetic image is produced by masking picture image a parts except the image that is stored in a display-priority memory and displayed with preference. Then the synthetic image is transferred to the display-priority memory. In a step S2 the synthetic image stored in the display- priority memory is displayed with preference on the picture-of an image memory. In a step S3, a picture is transferred to the image memory during the display of the synthetic image. In step S4, the display-priority memory is set in a non-display state and the picture of the image memory is displayed. |
