<p>New phosphatidylethanolamine N-oleyl derivs. are of formula (I): In (I), R1 and R2 are the residues of 12-22C fatty acids (pref. natural) which may be satd. or unsatd. (contg. >=1 double bonds) and be branched or unbranched. (I) have anti-arteriosclerotic and antilipaemic activity after oral admin. In experiments in rats, 1 mg./kg. gives marked lowering of total lipids, esp. cholesterol and triglycerides, in serum.</p> |
