The windscreen protection device for a car has a plastics sheet contoured to fit the windscreen shape and with tags at each side to clip into the door frames when the doors are closed. The sheet is held off the glass by ribs or studs moulded to the plastics and the fitting tags have slots or holes to aid fitting. The cover is rolled on rods moulded into the edges and additional grip is provided by ribs along the tag edges. The sheet can be coated for reflection so that it also provides protection in sunlight storage.
