The disc brake has a caliper sliding in a stationary bracket and containing a piston thrusting a shoe against one side of the disc, while ixed to it on the other side is a second shoe pressed against the disc by reaction force. The caliper is guided by a pin sliding in a bore, whilst a seal fits round the protruding portion of the pin. The seal (13) is protected by a cover (14), fixed either to the bracket (1) or the caliper (3). The cover can be a rigid cylindrical component with an axial slot, held in place by the screw securing the pin to the caliper or bracket.
|
