The seed drill feed roller incorporates spiral grooves (12) in the peripheral surface, and has an end plate (11) at the hopper end, of the same diameter (D) as that of the roller. The roller can be of plastic, with chambers formed in the core to allow some resilience. The design gives an even seed flow, and avoids crushing of the seeds.
