<p>An edging strip applied to the edge of a running tape is folded around the edge by means of a brush roller in the form of a truncated cone, whose axis of rotation is inclined at an acute angle to the direction of travel of the tape. The arrangement is intended to eliminate relative movement between the edging strip and the bristles of the brush, giving a uniform and effective folding action without causing ripples and folds in the material, and without being dependent upon its elastic properties.</p> |
