<p>The fault detector is for equipment made of metal and/or plastics. It can be used for the quality control and monitoring of machines, engines, pipes etc. Working, function and material defects can be located. It consists of a sound conductive rod in several sections and a sound cap. The latter has a cavity-forming membrane which touches an outer, flat membrane only on the outer, mounting surfaces. A section of the sound rod is of electrically insulating plastics or hard-rubber. The cavity membrane can be of brass. The separate sections of the sound rod are screwed together with the help of a fine thread. A cavity is formed within the nuts to prevent the generation of characteristic noise upon vibration, shaking etc.</p> |
