Vehicle wheel balancing in two planes - using sensor lever and analyser enabling determination of external balance planes

A rotor balancing device is esp. applicable to vehicle wheels and enables balancing in two planes. The rotor de geometric dimensions are manually or automatically measured and fed to an analyser. The device has a rotor protective cover. It enables easy convenient determination and conveyance to the analyser of external balance planes. Contentional arrangements suffer from manual balance plane separation distance handling errors and difficulty of measurement of balance planes inside the rotor. The rotating wheel protective cover carries a sensor detecting the external balance planes. The sensor output signals are fed to differencing circuits determining the balance plane separation distance or a related distance. The sensor consists of a pivoting and/or sliding lever. The protective cover has a transparent region.
