<p>Biological materials and solns. of them are heated to the temp. of use in a micro-wave field with a frequency of 2450 (+-) 15 MHz which is operated at intervals. The microwave generation is controlled from a measure of the temp. of the material being heated. The heating operation is interrupted several times before the required temp. is reached. The interval is controlled in the ratio, radiation on to pause of 3:1. The material is mounted in a rocking support which has a periodic frequency of 10 to 30 secs. The rocker is mounted inside an enclosed metal chamber. The temp. probe is attached to the rocker. Used for heating materials such as blood plasma, uricacid, enzymes, sperm, dilution factor substances and liquids derived from them, which are stored at -24 deg.C and have to be heated to 37 deg.C Allows the materials to be heated rapidly under controlled conditions and within narrow limits. They can be held at this temp. for a protracted period if desired.</p> |
