This consists of a bowl (1) which is closed by a removable lid (3) and which contains a deformable diaphragm (2) with which it delimits a chamber supplied with fluid under pressure. Interposed between the bowl (1) and its lid (3) is a deformable member consisting of a band (4) of textile material or the like, the two ends of which are wound on two drums (5, 6) placed on either side of the bowl at such a height that, in a rest period, the band bears on the bowl, this band performing the double function of a support for the laundry before and during its drying and the means for discharging the laundry after it has been dried. <IMAGE>
