PURPOSE:To provide title lubricating friction controlling agent which reduces friction loss in each of lubricating parts of an internal combustion engine, comprising a dialkyldithiocarbamate-molybdenum sulfide cpd. as an active ingredient. CONSTITUTION:NaSH is added to an aq. suspension of MoO3 to effect the reaction between NaSH and MoO3. The pH of the reaction mixt. is adjusted to an acidic pH. Di-2-ethylhexylamine, CS2 and butanol are added to the reaction mist. at a room temp. to carry out a reaction between reactants. After the completion of the reaction, an oily material is separated, washed with butanol, powdered and dried to obtain the desired lubricating friction controlling agent for an internal combustion engine, which comprises a dialkyldithiocarbamate-molybdenum sulfide of the formula (wherein R1, R2 are 8-18C alkyl; X is 2.1-1.3; y is 1.9-2.7 and x+y=4) as an active ingredient. 0.005-0.085wt% (calculated as Mo) of said friction controlling agent is added to a lubricating oil such as mineral oil or synthetic oil. |
