<p>PURPOSE:To improve a tape touch and to lessen reproduction jitter with a magnetic tape recording and reproducing device of a helical scan system by controlling the traveling phase of a magnetic tape according to the result of tracking error detection and controlling a tension fluctuation. CONSTITUTION:The tracking error is detected from a reproduction signal by a tracking error detecting means 9 and a tape transfer means 4 is subjected to feedback control by a tracking control means 10, by which the traveling phase of the magnetic tape 1 is controlled to a constant phase. On the other hand, the result of the tracking error detection is supplied via a variable gain amplifier means 11 to a variable post control means 12, by which the displacement of a variable post 5 by an actuator 6a is controlled. The gain of this amplifier 11 is controlled by the output of a load observing device 13 and the tape tension fluctuation of a high frequency arising from the traveling phase control of the tape is differentially controlled and erased. The tape touch is thus improved and the reproduction jitter is lessened.</p> |
