PURPOSE:To improve the mating of magnetic head to magnetic tape, by linking elastic member to each tip of two bimorph plates in parallel with each other with fixed base ends, and mounting the head on the hard support material linking the tips of both elastic members. CONSTITUTION:The base ends 12b, 120b are fixed to the head base 13 so that two bimorph plates 12, 120 are parallel, and the plate springs 20, 21 made of phsphor bronze as the elastic member are fixed to the tips 12a, 120a with projection. Further, between the side surfaces in which the tips 20b, 21b of the plate springs 20, 21 are opposed each other, the head holder 22 made of hard material such as bakelite is fixed, and the head chip 11 is fitted to the fitting step 22a of the holder 22. Thus, the production of the contact angle error of the gap surface of the head chip 11 to magnetic tape is avoided to increases the contact pressure. |
