The flower trough has a base section and one or more walls, an inner vessel (4), open at the top, being mounted on this section. A pipe (7) runs horizontally between the top and bottom of the vessel and is buried in earth, one of its ends (8) receiving a water supply, while the other passes through the flower-pot wall to the outside. There are a number of openings in the pipe, and the flow resistance offered by them and the surrounding earth produces a water table up to the level of the openings, the level of this flow resistance being no less than the flow resistance inside the pipe itself.
|
