<p>PURPOSE:To enhance the proof-strength of a joint part between a bag body and a plurality of straps which are jointed on the inner surface of the bag body, by providing a reinforcing fabric spanning between the body and the straps so that the body and the straps are jointed together with the aide of this reinforcing fabric. CONSTITUTION:An air bag is formed such a way that circular bag body parts 1, 2 are sewed with each other at its outer edge or integrally bonded with each other with a bonding agent so as to be formed into a bag-like shape, and straps 3 for limiting the expanding length of the bag are integrally jointed with the body parts 1, 2. In this arrangement, a reinforcing fabric 4 is arranged spanning between the body parts 1, 2 and the straps 3 and are integrally incorporated therewith by sewing or bonding. This reinforcing fabric 4 may be made of the same fabric material as that of the bag body parts 1, 2 or the straps 3 or a fabric material different therefrom. In the case of the different fabric material, it should have a high strength substantially equal to that of the bag body parts 1, 2.</p> |
