MULTI-SHELL PLASTIC DOMES

Mult?-shell domes having a coefficient of heat transmission of K - < 2.0 kcal/m2.h..degree.C (according to DIN 4701) and comprising an outer element formed from a sheet of light-transmitting plastic and having a dome-shaped portion and an edge portion; and an inner element of integral construction formed from at least two substantially parallel inter-connected sheets of light-transmitting plastic and having a dome-shaped portion and an edge portion; the inner and outer elements being connected at the edge portions thereof whereby the dome-shaped portions of the inner and outer elements are maintained in a spaced relationship, the convex surface of the dome-shaped portion of the inner element being located adjacent to the concave surface of the dome-shaped portion of the outer element.
