Rotary two stroke IC engine - has rotor with sliding radial vanes turning eccentrically with cylindrical stator

The engine has a rotor (2) which is eccentric within a stator cylinder (1). Radial vanes (3) slide in slots in the rotor and carry shoes which run on the inside of the stator. The stator cylinder has inlet and exhaust ports (21) and a transfer port (6) between the compression and expansion sides is formed in one end plate of the stator. The fuel injector or sparking plug is held in the rotor and connected by a slip ring or passage through the rotor. A sleeve (4) on the inside of the cylinder has a thickening (9) on one side to give the required shape to the compression section.
