<p>Prodn. of 1,5- and 1,8-dinitro-anthraquinones from a mixture also contg. up to 50% 1,6-, 1,7-, 2,6-, and 2,7- isomers and opt. mononitro-anthraquinone and anthraquinone, comprises treating it with an ester of a mono- or di-carboxylic acid or of phosphoric acid having a b.pt. above 120 deg.C. The improvement comprises using an acetate with a 4-13C ester chain. The purificn. gives a very pure prod. in a high yield.</p> |
