The dc motor has a stator with first zones contg. teeth between which are located slots for holding the stator's induction winding comprising a monophase coil. The first zones alternate with second zones with no teeth or winding such that when the motor is stationary, unsupplied, the poles of the rotor position themselves, as a result of variable reluctance, opposite the first zone of the stator. The supply circuit contains an electronic commutator and a locking loop comparing a signal describing the real current flowing in the winding with a reference current amplitude to produce a commutating signal for the electronic commutator.
