A self-interlocking means for end to end jointing of elongated concrete elements, especially concrete piles, comprises two end plates (1) and substantially straight glide bars (10) to be forced into slightly curved locking grooves (2) in the end plates and running from one peripheral side (4) of the end plate (1) to the opposite peripheral side (5) of the end plate and being open to both these sides. When the end to end jointing of two elongated concrete elements is performed, an end plate (1) will be attached to each of the two ends to be jointed. The end plates (1) are brought together in abutting relationship so that the locking grooves (2) of one end plate (1) will be exactly opposite the corresponding locking grooves (2) in the other end plate (1), and the glide bars (10) are forced into the lateral openings formed by each pair of exactly oppositely located locking grooves (2), thereby interlockingly pressing the two abutting end plates (1) together. |
