PURPOSE:To securely confirm the presence of a vehicle parked or stopped on a road from a traveling vehicle by lighting the road a specific distance behind the parking or stopping area of the vehicle in response to the detection of the vehicle by a sensor. CONSTITUTION:The parking area 2 is sectioned in order into sensing areas A-C, wherein G sensors GA-GC which sense whether or not a vehicle is present from its weight to detect the parking or stopping of the vehicle are embedded respectively. On-road lighted areas (a)-(c) are set in order about 25 m behind the sensing areas A-C. Then lamps L1-L2, L4-L6, and L7-L9 are installed in the lighted areas (a)-(c) respectively. The outputs of the sensors GA-GC are inputted to a controller 4, which turns on the lamps L1-L9 selectively according to their inputs. |
