<p>The cooler consists of a horizontal Venturi with its spray jet device, a downstream, mixing chamber an air outlet arrangement and a sump for the recovery of water. The spray device covers the throat area of the Venturi tube by a multitude of elliptical diverging jets ensuring the efficient pumping of air without blow-back. For capacity regulating purposes, movable outlet louvres, air recirculation, and a controlled water supply to the jets are provided, initiated by a sensor in the water return line. The controlled water supply may take the form of a valved bypass, or two pump of differing capacity connected in series or parallel. Damper on the jets may also be employed to reduce capacity.</p> |
