The equipment comprises a first tool which consists of a shaped metal plate (2) having a smooth grip (3) and an elongated part (4) bearing imprints (7, 8, 9, 10) which receive the toothed wheels from a set of toothed wheels of a freewheel or the base of the outer body of the set, which can be removably fixed thereto, and a second tool (11) consisting of a handle (12) having a half-moon shaped end body (13) on which a length of chain (14) pivots, a peripheral recess being made in the half-moon body which can receive the periphery of the toothed wheel on which said length of chain is engaged.
