A small ersonal talking timepiece for use by an individual telling the desired time audibly at will to the nearest minute is euipped with a generator for generating time based signals, a logic evice coupled to the generator, a solid state memory device having coded information, a word seledting device interconnected to the logic and memory devices and converting device coupled to the memory device for converting the command signal to signals which enable verbal readout. The timepiece have all the same characteristics and appearance of an ordinary wrist watch.
