The invention provides pesticidal compositions containing the compounds of formula <CHEM> known as sulprofos, and pyrethroid insecticides of formula <CHEM> wherein A is an optionally-substituted aralkyl, alkyl, cycloalkyl or arylaminoalkyl group, R is hydrogen, cyano or ethynyl, X is alkyl, alkenyl, aralkyl or aryloxy and n is 1 to 5, and their use in combating pests. Compositions according to the invention exhibit enhanced pesticidal activity against aphids such as Aphis fabae, the black bean aphid. |
