<p>PURPOSE:To provide a pressure resisting hose light in weight and improved in pressure resistance for use in feeding and discharging water in engineering works by producing the hose blank having a reinforcing synthetic resin fabric interposed between the base materials consisting of a straight-chain, low-density polyethylene having a predetermined melt flow rate, density and melting point and a high-pressure molded polyethylene. CONSTITUTION:The hose blank 2 is of a three layer structure consisting of two base plates 2a and a reinforcing base material 2b made of vinylon fabric interposed therebetween and the hose blanks 2 are heat sealed at heat seal parts 1a to form a pressure resisting hose 1, which remains flat when water is not being conveyed therethrough and during the water conveying period is expanded. The base plate 2a is produced from a mixture of the alpha-olefin having 4-8 carbon atoms, e.g. a straight-chain, low-density polyethylene obtained by copolymerizing 1-hexane and ethylene and having a melt flow rate of 1-6g/min, a density of 0.910-0.940g/cm<3> and a melting point of 110-130 deg.C, and a high-pressure molded polyethylene made up in such proportions that the mixture comprises 50-100wt.% of the straight-chain, low-density polyethylene and 50-0wt.% of the high-pressure molded polyethylene.</p> |
