The flow restrictor valve has a cylindrical housing with a passage between end openings, together with a plug movable in the axial direction of the passage working against a seat formed by a ring protruding radially inwards into the passage. The plug comprises a disc (6) with three or more protrusions (7) extending radially outwards and of elastic material. The protrusions fit freely in a peripheral groove in the housing joining onto the wide end of the tapering seat (4). On the side away from the seat the groove can be enclosed by an inwards-protruding ring on the housing. The difference in diameter between ring and groove is small in relation to the groove diameter.
