PURPOSE:An oral cavity composition capable of preventing formation of rhyparia causing dental caries, pyorrhea alveolaris, etc., obtained by adding mutanase, dextran or diethylaminoethyl dextran to a composition of oral cavity. CONSTITUTION:0.1-20wt% of mutanase (5,000-1,000,000unit/g), 0.0001- 5wt% of dextran or diethylaminoethyl dixtran are added to a composition of oral cavity to give an oral cavity composition capable of controlling effectively formation of rhyparia free from the problem of bacterium change phenomenon, having improved effect for prevention of dental caries, gingivitis, and pyorrhea alveolaris. One unit of mutanase means an amount of an enzyme required to make 1mug of a reducing suger liberate per munute calculated as glucose by decomposing mutan in 0.2M buffer solution of acetic acid (pH is 5.5) at 40 deg.C. The oral cavity composition can be formed into toothpaste, powder toothpaste, liquid toothpaste, oral cavity cleaner, e.g., mouthwash, dermatological paste, etc. |
